Good food, good service. Gets busy on weekends, would suggest coming early if you just want to come for dinner. Plenty drink options and liquor store next door if nothing sounds appealing there

Very clean and accessible spot. They serve generous meals and for reasonable rates. I loved the food a lot and the waiters were super welcoming and chatty. Will definitely recommend this spot.

Best bar in Hillsborough where everybody knows my name

Comfortable neighborhood bar. The staff is friendly and the food is pretty good. There is a separate dining room section apart from the bar and the kitchen is open late. The place is clean and tastefully decorated plus they have multiple big screen TV's so you can always see the games.

Petrock's is the ultimate neighborhood bar and grill. Think "Cheers" where everyone knows your name. Bartenders and wait staff are terrific and the owner, Bonnie, is awesome. Very hands-on, not afraid to jump in and help out when it's busy. Excellent food too.

My family recently went to Petrock's after a viewing we had for our father right in Hillsborough. It was difficult finding someplace to sit outside for our large party due to Covid. I called and spoke with Bonnie the owner. She was gracious and helpful, even giving me her cell incase I needed to change the plans. We arrived exhausted and starving and she had reserved a few tables for us in the corner. Socially distanced of course. We had a lovely meal. My vegetarian family members were thrilled with options on menu. They have something to offer everyone! I highly recommend!

Great place for a casual dinner. Great staff, centrally located, good food and good prices. Usually busy weekend nights, but never too long a wait. Plenty of parking. What more can you ask?

The restaurant is fantastic and broad, the meals was yummy and the rates were very reasonable. quickly, productive service and very attentive staff. I highly recommend this place.

LOVED the food. I had the veggie burger with sweet potato fries, and the hubby had a black bean burger - both delicious. Impressive drink menu as well, and good service. All in all, I'm coming back.

The crab cake mac and cheese was beyond delicious. Also, the fried calamari was very good. I will definitely be going back for the mac & cheese. A must try!

I've never had a bad time at Petrock's. As a long-time resident of Hillsborough, I've been here quite a few times for various occasions. The quality of their food never ceases to impress, and I've found few local bars in the area that mix drinks nearly as well. Awesome place for a night out, a birthday, a date, or a trip to the bar. It's also worth checking out Petrock's liquor store in the front. They've got a good selection and a staff that's always been quite helpful when I need it.

Usually I like Petrocks, although you kind of have to because it's one of the only places like it in town, bar/restaurant, not too fancy. Went to the bar the other night and I was not thrilled with the service. At first it was good but then I guess a friendly face came in and that was it, I waited for a long time for a beer in a can, no glass (easy enough) while the only bartender working that night was on the opposite side of the bar talking. I wasn't the only one waiting a long time either. I've worked in the restaurant business so I understand that things come up, but you can't ignore half the bar to have a conversation, it's just not right.

The food is great, the atmosphere is great, but the bartenders need to pick it up. It's like pulling teeth to get a drink if you're not a regular sitting at the bar. Waving them down and trying to get their attention. Not cool.

I've had the pleasure of dining here several times this year, both at lunchtime and dinner. Excellent wide variety of things on the menu, excellent service even during busy hours. Plenty of parking and convenient location. There is a separate small room for hosting a family dinner or party. Even if all you want is a burger and a beer,, I recommend it.

Really been enjoying coming here. Great food, great drinks, and a very homey atmosphere. All the staff are always very nice as well. I really enjoy the times I come here, and definitely will be a returning customer now that I live in the area! It’s also very unique and convenient that you can walk straight into the liquor store from the restaurant without even having to go outside.

We had the loaded nachos and they were delicious, as always. Easily enough for two people. Staff super friendly and service great.

I really love their dishes and service, awesome location very close to my home. The workers are always friendly. Would recommend to others.

Although a tad bit on the pricey side I have never had a bad meal here or a weak drink. If six stars were an option I'd give it seven.

The dining area is poorly lit. Lunch service was slow and our waitress lacked any personality. Wings were average. Burgers and sandwiches were good - nice steak fries.

A nice down to earth bar and grill with good martinis, (try the Russian Revolution or Going to Hawaii...) and respectable wine and beer selection. Lots of good salads, burgers and expected bar foods. They serve steaks and chicken dishes as well. You can definitely take your mom to this place... she would like the friendly and helpful staff and clean bathrooms.

Nice little bar off to the side of town. Cute little patio for summer month cocktail hours. Plenty of bar food to choose from. Waitresses were friendly service was quick

We had excellent food, good service, and a thriving atmosphere. All for a decent price! I can't believe it took us this long to try the place! My burger was cooked exactly how I wanted it - and that NEVER happens to me!

We go there all the time. It's the "Cheers" of Hillsborough. Food is very is very good. The Burgers are terrific. The SantaFe Chicken with black beans and rice is outstanding. All the wraps will bring you back.
